Anish Kapoor

Mumbai → London → Every City on Earth
Own PathStory Has Weight

You've seen his work. You probably touched it. You took a selfie in front of it in Chicago.

Cloud Gate. The Bean. 110 tons of polished steel in Millennium Park, reflecting the whole city back at itself. One of the most visited public sculptures on earth.

It was made by a kid from Mumbai who hitchhiked to London at 19 with nothing. No safety net, no guaranteed path — just a conviction that he had something to make.

Now his work sits in the great cities of the world. The path was his own, and it cost him everything he didn't yet have when he started.
